Hello internet dating!

After an unexpected relationship breakup which exploded my heart, I cried my way through deep healing, took the time to nourish the deepest parts of Self and rebuild an identity as an empowered and single women. I am ready to meet someone now and so I have entered the world of internet dating. I was very resistant in the beginning but after some encouragement from a good friend who has met someone special online, I signed up. “Just have some with fun it” she said joyfully.

Now the world of internet dating is pretty diverse. There’s RSVP, eHarmony, Zoosk, Tinder, Match, Love Again, Senior Singles, Grinder....the list goes on. Different sites have different intents ranging from casual sex to finding marriage partners. The people within are diverse as well. This has been one of the most interesting things so far about internet dating, the diverse people that I have been able to connect with, either through messaging or in person. I’ve had dates with people from Iran, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Italy and Sydney. I’ve chatted with people from Colombia, Portugal, France, Brisbane and Adelaide. I’ve met web designers, social workers, musicians, real estate agents, graphic designers, financial advisers and people in transition. So much potential out there and so many people looking for love!

What I have learnt from online dating is that it is so important for me to be centred in a place of Self love. If I try to look for love outside of myself, I will be pulled in a thousand different directions and feel confused and open myself to being overly influenced by all the glittering lights, distractions and chiselled abs. I have to be confident and unashamedly me, wear the clothes I like, laugh loudly, eat proudly and share my thoughts openly. If I radiate me and I radiate love I will attract the man into my life that is resonating at a high frequency. If I resonate from loneliness or feel desperate and dateless, it’s tempting to be cheap and go for the first bit of attention that comes my way. It’s teaching me to be comfortable in my own power as a woman and my ability to creatively manifest. I have to know and believe that I’m a catch and that I don’t have to chase men around. So I’m not rushing. I’m open and I’m respectful but first and foremost I’m centred in love and the best version of myself.

Yogi Bhajan says "Patience pays. Wait. Let the hand of God work for you. The One who has created you, let Him create all the environments, circumstances, and facilities and faculties.

Oh individual, why you are in a very doubtful state? The One who has made you will take care of you. The One who has created this Universe, all the planets, planetary faculties and facilities on Earth, He is the One who has created you. Wait. Have patience. Lean on him. And all best things will come to you. Dwell in God. Dwell in God. Dwell in God. Befriend your soul. Dwell in God and befriend your soul. Dwell in God and befriend your soul. Dwell in God and befriend your soul. All the faculties and facilities of the Creation, which are in your best interest shall be at your feet. You need million things. Million things will reach you if you are stable, established, firm, patient. Remember, Creator watches over you and Creation is ready to serve you, if you just be you. So please take away the ghost of your life and stop chasing round. Consolidate. Concentrate. Be you. And may all the peace and peaceful environments, prosperity approach you forever. Sat Nam"
